Hello to all our registered users,
The Development Plan process has today entered the third and final phase of
public consultation with the publication of the Proposed Amendments to the
Draft City and County Development Plans 2014-2020. The Proposed Amendments
are available on our website which you may view by clicking clicking here.
The amendments to the Draft Plans are on public display for a four week
period from the 14th of February to the 14th of March 2014. If you wish to
make a submission on the content of the proposed amendments then please do
so on or before 5pm Friday the 14th of March 2014. Submissions must only
relate to the proposed amendments and should be addressed to the Director
of Services, Planning Department, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny, or
they may also be made via email to ourplan@kilkennycoco.ie
The submissions received will be collated into a Managers Report (similar
to the last stage of public consultation) and this will be submitted to the
Borough and County Councillors in April for their consideration. A further
email will be sent to you at that time when the Managers Report is
published. The Draft Plans will be adopted by the Borough and County
Councils in May later this year.
The proposed Abbey Quarter / Smithwicks Masterplan is a separate process to
the Draft Development Plan for the City & Environs. 31 submissions
were received in relation to the draft master plan which was placed on
public display up until Friday 14th of December last. These submissions
are at present being assessed. Once the submissions have been fully
assessed the masterplan will be further developed which will be
communicated through this web site and email contacts.
