Waterford Boundary Review
On 19th June 2015, the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local
Government established the Waterford Boundary Committee under section 28 of
the Local Government Act 1991. The Committee is required to carry out a
review of the boundary between the City and County of Waterford and County
Kilkenny and to make recommendations with respect to that boundary and any
consequential recommendations with respect to the area of the Metropolitan
District of Waterford that it considers to be necessary in the interests of
effective and convenient local government. Please be advised that public
consultation in respect of the Waterford Boundary Review has commenced. A
website, www.waterfordboundaryreview.ie, has been established which
provides information on the Boundary Review and guidance for the making of
submissions. Submissions on the Boundary Review can be made until 15th
January 2016 directly to the website or, alternatively, by post to The
Secretariat, Waterford Boundary Review, c/o City Hall, Waterford, X91 PK15
or to The Secretariat, Waterford Boundary Review, c/o Kilkenny County
Council, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny, R95 A39T. This consultation
process is organised by the Waterford Boundary Committee.

Draft Flood Maps – Statutory Consultation by OPW
The Commissioners of Public Works have prepared national Flood Hazard maps
and Flood Risk maps which are available for inspection from 20th November
2015 to 23rd December 2015, during normal opening hours at County Hall,
John Street and in the Ferrybank and Thomastown Area Offices. The draft
maps are also available for inspection online at
http://maps.opw.ie/flood_draftmap_consult/ (You must register to view the
maps online) Observations or comments in regard to the draft maps may be
sent to the Commissioners of Public Works no later than 5pm on Wednesday
23rd December 2015 and posted to: Draft Flood Maps Public Consultation,
Engineering Services, OPW HQ, Jonathan Swift St., Trim, Co Meath.

Part 8 – Riverside Garden/Linear Park, Abbey Creative Quarter, Kilkenny
City.
Plans and particulars for the proposed riverside garden/linear park are now
placed on public display at the offices of the County Council, John Street,
and Carnegie Library, John’s Quay, from Friday 20th November 2015 to
Friday 15th January 2016. Submissions and observations with respect to the
proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable
development of the area in which the development will be carried out, are
now invited with a closing date for receipt of submissions by Friday 29th
January 2016. You can make a submission on the project on the
Council's Consultation Portal, please visit:

Rivergardenplanning@kilkennycoco. To help inform this public consultation
process, an informal public information evening will be held in The
Maltings, Tilbury Place, Kilkenny on Thursday the 10th December 2015 from
4.30pm -7.30pm where all the documentation will be on public display and
Council staff will be present to answer any queries. The plans and
particulars for the Brewhouse project will also be available for inspection
on the day.
