I wish to suggest the following few issues for consideration toward the County Development Plan in regard to the local Castlecomer area that are personal to me.
A). That walking access should be developed to allow persons to access the waterfall area, but not the fall itself, from the town. This could be accommodated easily given access via the edge of Castlecomer Golf Club – but not crossing any apart of the playing course. Suggestion attached. Access was available prior to recent developments converting course from 9 to 18 holes.
B). That the speed limit on the laneway at Ballyhemmon, be reduced from 80Km/Hr to 30 Km/Hr. As per attached.
C). That a right of way and when funds allow, to develop pedestrian access by bridge to the Demesne woods at Castlecomer Discovery Park. As per attached. This would facilitate safe access by persons with buggies or wheelchairs looking to come from Castlecomer town and its environs.
