Update 

At the Special Council Meeting on the 31st of July 2015, the Members of Kilkenny County Council adopted Variation No. 1 of the Kilkenny City & Environs Development Plan 2014-2020 and approved the Masterplan for the Abbey Creative Quarter, in accordance with the recommendations contained in the Chief Executive's Reports (published below).

Update July 2015

Proposed Variation No. 1 of the Kilkenny City & Environs Development Plan is now on public display.  See  https://consult.kilkenny.ie for all the details.  The latest date for receipt of submissions is 5pm Tuesday the 21 of July 2015.

The Draft Masterplan for the Abbey Creative Quarter is now also on public dislay.  See https://consult.kilkenny.ie for all the details. The latest date for receipt of submissions is 5pm Tuesday the 21st of July 2015.

What is Ourplan?

This site is the portal for all planning related issues in County Kilkenny. 

It was originally developed for the process of reviewing the Kilkenny County and City Development Plans, and this process ran from 2012 until Summer 2014.  Both Plans are now adopted.

Hello to all our registered users,

The latest date for receipt of submissions on the Proposed Amendments to
the Draft Development Plans is 5pm this Friday the 14th of March 2014. The
proposed amendments are available to view on our website
ourplan.kilkenny.ie. Submissions can be emailed to ourplan@kilkennycoco.ie
or sent to Director of Services, Planning Department, County Hall, John
Street, Kilkenny.

This is the final stage of public consultation before the Development Plans
are made in May this year.

Hello to all our registered users,

The Development Plan process has today entered the third and final phase of
public consultation with the publication of the Proposed Amendments to the
Draft City and County Development Plans 2014-2020. The Proposed Amendments
are available on our website which you may view by clicking clicking here.

The amendments to the Draft Plans are on public display for a four week
period from the 14th of February to the 14th of March 2014.

Hello to all our registered users,

The Elected Representatives of Kilkenny Borough and County Councils have
considered the Managers Report on Submissions received to the Draft County
and City & Environs Development Plans published in November 2013. At
the joint meeting of the Borough and County Councils on the 28th of January
2014 it was decided to make amendments to the Draft Plans. The proposed
amendments will be published on the 14th of February 2014 and will remain
on public display for a 4 week period.
